....so behind!!

I am so behind on the blogging. I used to think I had a busy life, but nothing compares to life with a going-all-the time, never stopping, constantly talking, climbing everything, eating everything, constantly jabbering/talking toddler. He completely wears me out...but I wouldn't trade it for the world. We have been to the beach, and to Clemson in the last week, and had a bundle of fun. I hope to catch up on the posts by this weekend...but until then, maybe just the cutest picture you've ever seen....

Until next time....

15 months!

Joseph,
You are 15 months old...yes I'm a little behind but I'm sure you won't notice!! You have grown so much in the past 3 months. You walk everywhere now, and are a very strong willed child! Your favorite thing to do right now is throw things. You always throw with your left hand, so our plan is for you to be a left handed pitcher..HA! You throw balls, food, toys, sippy cups, etc. You adore your dad and mock him in everything he does. You follow us around all the time, and are so interested in everything we do. You also are obsessed with shoes! There is rarely a moment that you walk around without shoes...and your favorites are crocs right now! You jabber constantly and the words we can understand are "mama", "daddy", "aba" (ava), "ball", "uh-oh", and "hey"...and you sometimes get out "elmo". You have the sweetest belly laugh, and I could listen to it forever and never get tired of it. You love the vacuum and try to help all the time. You love bath time, and we cannot keep you out of the pool. You stay with your aunt Erica during this summer, and you are pretty fond of her (and I think she has a soft spot for you also).

We went for your 15 month well baby check up today and you did ok...
Weight: 23lbs, 10 ounces (34%)
Height: 32.5 inches (80%)
...so you are still my long and lean baby.

When it was time to give the shots (2), they brought in 3 nurses, two to give the shots, and one to blow bubbles. They also gave me a sucker to occupy you, but as soon as the needles went in, you went ballistic! You cried, and laid on the floor as I was trying to pay! Oh, the joys of toddler-hood!

You are becoming so independent. The picture below is of your new chair. Your sweet sweet Aunt Erica bought you this and it came in the mail today...and you have not gotten off of it. The bad part is you stand up....and I have a hard time not laughing when trying to tell you to sit. I point my finger at the bottom of the seat, and ask you to get on your bottom. You stand up, and point your fingers at me, and jabber a lot of words. Oh my...what are we in for?!?!?

Joseph, you are one amazing little boy! You keep us on our toes, and laughing daily. I'm not sure what we did to deserve you, but I'm so thankful we did it! We love you to the moon and back!!
"dada" & "mama"
Until next time...

Beach 2010

I have so much catching up to do!! We went to the beach in early June, and had a blast. Little man hated the beach the first few days and would hold his feet up off of the sand. It was hilarious...but at least by Friday he could have been a beach baby, and loved every secound of it!! He wore his Clemson hat the entire time at the beach...and I love it! Here is our attempt at a family beach picture...as you can tell, it didn't go as planned!!
Here is little man and Sam. They are the most adorable friends ever. If it's only been a couple of hours since they've seen each other, they will smile and laugh at each other. I hope that they always are like that with each other....and remain best friends!

While we were there we celebrated Papa and Grannys 54th wedding anniversary. I hope one day we can be as lucky as they are and spend our vacations with our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

...and how could I not put this adorable picture up here. Little man walks everywhere now, and is into everything. He keeps us busy...bless it!

Until Next Time...

still on the bottle?

Yes..I can admit it. Little man still has his bottle!! He dropped all other bottles like nobody's business when he turned one...but the bedtime bottle is still around. It's so hard because we have a schedule...I put him in the bath, and bathe him...his daddy gets him out, we both dress him and play for a minute...then Joe sits in the glider and little man walks over, gets in his lap, takes a bottle, and lays down without a hitch!! I am just not willing to give up the bottle yet, for fear of our schedule is going to be wrecked!! (and yes, I realize i said "I" in the last sentence.) However the other night, Joe and I just put little man in the glider, and next thing we knew, he was already working on his nighttime routine...Bless It! This child is just like his Dad, and Grandpa...he's obsessed with gadgets! Doesn't matter if it's remote, flashlights, phone, camera, or calculator...he loves it! It's so cute, because he gets so serious when looking at things.

After bath time, little man does play a bit. The other night he crawled out of his room and into the den. I walked in there a few minutes later...and he's on his car...NAKED! I swear this child would stay naked all the time if I let him. Might be cute now...but could be a problem later on!!

....Until Next Time...
