I turned around....

I turned around for one minute, and he went from this...

to this....oh how time flies!

Each day my little man changes, tomorrow he will be 10 weeks old, but it seems he's always been here! When we went to the doctor this week he weighed 12 lbs, and was 25 inches long...wow, 5 more inches and he will be half as tall as his mama!!
This week we go in for the Mag3 Renal Scan. I have a good mind to pick up and run away, but I'm sure someone will start looking for us soon! Please keep us in your prayers, the procedure will not last long if everything goes as planned, but they will put him to sleep which is scary..but I have faith everything will be ok! I will probably post on that day because we do have to stay overnight, and there isn't that much you can do at the hospital for that long.
When we found out about little man's kidney, we knew nothing about what we were getting in to, and were scared to death. We now understand a little more about what is going on, but being scared never goes away. I enjoy music and this song has become one of my favorite. I love the words, and it's a great reminder for this week....
When my life is like a storm
Rising waters, all I want is the shore
You say I'll be ok and Make it through the rain
You are my shelter from the storm
Everything rides on hope now
Everything rides on faith somehow
When the world has broken me down
Your love sets me free
Until next time...

we made it to two months!!

Can you believe my little man is two months old?? Yeah, neither can I!! He has grown so much since last month and changed completely. He still is not sleeping through the night, he wakes every three to four hours. Hopefully that will change soon! Over the past month he has started smiling, will make noises when you speak to him, and he is never still! When you are feeding him, holding him, or he is in his swing, he is constantly kicking his legs or moving his arms. I definitely think we are going to have a busy bee on our hands. Tomorrow we go to the doctor for our two month check up and I'm excited about getting his weight, height, etc....but not so excited about the four shots!!

He still sleeps in the room with us, but tonight I decided to put him in his crib..(not for the night)..but just to let him watch the mobile and get used to the room. I was hoping that he could start taking naps in there during the day! Well by the time Joe and I got him laid down, the mobile turned on, and the monitor set up he was already crying and it was back to the swing! Oh my...I think we may have a hard time with the crib!!

I will post more when we get back from the doctor. For now enjoy the next picture...the other night Joe laid Joseph in the middle of the bed, still awake, while we got ready for bed and washed bottles. When I walked in the room this is what I found...oh how I love my little man!

Until next time...

it's been a while...

It's been so long since I have posted anything...but life's been normal! I spend my days with the little man hanging out and getting as much cuddling time as I can in. On June 22 I go back to work...(sad)...and time seems to go by so quick. He is growing so fast and doesn't even look like the same baby anymore! Lately he's developed eczema, but the doctor gave us a great cream and it's all healed up. I know I shouldn't feel guilty about leaving him at day care but i do...it sucks to be completely honest!!!

Also we are getting ready for our Mag3 renal scan on June 3. This is where they will look at his kidney and run dye through him to see how it's working. Sounds simple enough but they are putting him to sleep and we have to spend the night at the hospital. I know it is a simple procedure but at the end of the day it's my baby who they will take, stick a needle in and put under.....ahhh i will be so glad when it's over. After this procedure we (Joe and I) will meet with Dr. Teague, (pediatric urologist) and decide the next step. Just pray it will be simple....all this stuff works a mama's nerves!

Until next time...
